I'm Roger Lancefield and this is my personal website.
I live in Christchurch in Dorset with my partner and son. Like you no doubt I have a variety of interests. Mine include astronomy, archaeology, the environment, urban design and transport, politics, digital rights, and other stuff besides. My tags will give you an idea of the sort of things I blog about.

ralnode.net consists of a collection of material that I write in markdown and turn in to a web site using Pelican. My pages are served up by the Apache HTTP server which is running on Debian-based Raspberry Pi OS, which in turn is running on a Raspberry Pi 4 hosted at Mythic Beasts.
To avoid exposing this site's visitors to tracking by third parties, my pages do not pull in fonts, scripts, stylesheets or any other media from external domains. Neither does this site set any cookies on your machine.
The image in my page-top banner is of Markarian's Chain, a cluster of galaxies in the Virgo Constellation that can be seen through many small telescopes.
